Birthday party in Opry Mills: asked and answered
Short answers to the things worth knowing in advance.
A birthday here is a different sort of party because the entertainment is the place. Nobody has to keep fifteen children occupied - the machines and the ice do it.
From Opry Mills the practical question is timing rather than distance. Arriving in the first hour after opening is worth more than shaving minutes off the drive.
The short answers
Mixed ages are the usual headache with children parties, and both venues handle them without a plan: little ones stay in the pit or in a car, older ones go after the harder machines.
Talk to the centre before the day rather than on it. Numbers, timing and what a group needs are all easier to sort in advance - the phone numbers are on the contacts page.
The longer answers
The photographs take themselves. A bucket full of coloured balls or a car spinning on ice needs no staging.
Weekday afternoons in term time are the quietest slot in the week. Weekend middays are the busiest.
Still worth asking on the day
Arrive early enough to get coats and bags sorted before the guests do. Ten quiet minutes at the start buys an hour of calm.

Planning your visit in Opry Mills
The drive back to Opry Mills is where you find out what they actually thought. Children review an outing about twenty minutes after leaving it, never during.
Let the child lead the order of things. Adults optimise; children choose the thing that looks best, and they are right more often than they are wrong.
Let the child choose what to do first even when it is the thing you would have chosen last. The order matters less than the choosing.
Families searching from Opry Mills are usually weighing one thing: whether it is worth the trip for an hour of something the children have not done before. The honest answer is that it depends on the child, and the rest of this page is about telling which.
