Opening hours for families in Concord Mills
The local version of the question: how far, how long, and is it worth it.
If a visit is time critical - a party, a group, a long drive - call first: +1 (424) 387-6232 or +1 (615) 968-4925.
If you are coming from Concord Mills, treat it as a cross-town outing rather than a day trip. Go with a return time in mind and the day stays easy.
Getting there
The published hours are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday.
Sunday closes earlier than the rest of the week, which is the detail most often missed when a family plans a late afternoon.
What you will find
The first hour after opening is the calmest of the day, and the hour before closing is the second calmest.
Warn a nervous child about the noise before you walk in. Knowing what to expect is most of the difference between anxious and curious.

Worth the trip?

If two children are visiting together, plan for them to split up. Doing different things in the same room is the point of a room with different things in it.

Planning your visit in Concord Mills
Families searching from Concord Mills are usually weighing one thing: whether it is worth the trip for an hour of something the children have not done before. The honest answer is that it depends on the child, and the rest of this page is about telling which.
Let the child choose what to do first even when it is the thing you would have chosen last. The order matters less than the choosing.
Do not schedule anything immediately afterwards. An hour of concentrated play is tiring in a way that shows up in the car park, not in the room.
A Concord Mills school holiday runs out of ideas by about day three. This is a day-three answer rather than a day-one one.
