Opening hours in Concord Mills, or something else?
Comparing like for like: what this gives you that the alternatives do not, and where the alternatives win.
The first hour after opening is the calmest of the day, and the hour before closing is the second calmest.
Plenty of the families in the room on a weekday morning have come from somewhere like Concord Mills. Nobody is local to a mall attraction; everybody has driven.
What it does differently
If a visit is time critical - a party, a group, a long drive - call first: +1 (424) 387-6232 or +1 (615) 968-4925.
Sunday closes earlier than the rest of the week, which is the detail most often missed when a family plans a late afternoon.
Where other options win
The published hours are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday.
If two children are visiting together, plan for them to split up. Doing different things in the same room is the point of a room with different things in it.

Planning your visit in Concord Mills
Families around Concord Mills who have done it once tend to plan the second visit differently: shorter, earlier in the day, and with the machine the child liked in mind.
Warn a nervous child about the noise before you walk in. Knowing what to expect is most of the difference between anxious and curious.
Feed them first. Every attraction in the world is improved by not being hungry in it.
The drive back to Concord Mills is where you find out what they actually thought. Children review an outing about twenty minutes after leaving it, never during.
