Opening hours in Concord: things worth doing differently
None of this is complicated. All of it is the difference between a good hour and a difficult one.
If a visit is time critical - a party, a group, a long drive - call first: +1 (424) 387-6232 or +1 (615) 968-4925.
Nothing about the visit assumes you know the area. The centre is inside Concord Mills, which is signposted from everywhere in Concord and impossible to miss once you are there.
Before you leave the house
The published hours are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday.
Two shorter visits teach a child more than one long one. The second time they already know what they want to try, and that is when the good part starts.
When you arrive
Sunday closes earlier than the rest of the week, which is the detail most often missed when a family plans a late afternoon.
The first hour after opening is the calmest of the day, and the hour before closing is the second calmest.
While you are there

Let the child choose what to do first even when it is the thing you would have chosen last. The order matters less than the choosing.

Planning your visit in Concord
Families searching from Concord are usually weighing one thing: whether it is worth the trip for an hour of something the children have not done before. The honest answer is that it depends on the child, and the rest of this page is about telling which.
Tell a nervous child what is going to happen in the order it will happen. Surprise is the thing they mind, not the activity.
Bring less than you think. Coats and bags are the part of the visit nobody enjoys managing.
Weekends bring more of Concord out at once. If the schedule allows a weekday, take it; the same visit is quieter and the machines wait for nobody in particular.
