Visiting as a group in Pineville: the holiday season plans
Same room, different month, different day out.
Four machines and one big crate spread a group out. So does a rink - there is no single queue for the whole party to stand in.
Coming in from Pineville with more than one child, the useful thing to know is that the room does not need to be rationed - there is more than one thing to do at the same time.
Why this time of year
Any adult who has taken six children anywhere knows the failure mode: five occupied, one bored, and the bored one setting the tone.
Take the phone out of your pocket before they start rather than after. The moment worth filming is usually the first one.
What changes
Split a group by what they want rather than by age. The child who wants to watch is having a good time too.
Tell the centre the numbers in advance and the day runs better for everyone, staff included.
What to wear

Do not schedule anything immediately afterwards. An hour of concentrated play is tiring in a way that shows up in the car park, not in the room.

Planning your visit in Pineville
The nearest of the two centres to Pineville is the one to aim at - Concord Mills in Concord - and the drive is the ordinary sort rather than an expedition.
A short visit that ends while they still want more beats a long one that ends in a meltdown, every time.
Bring a spare layer even in summer. Malls are air conditioned, rinks are colder than that, and a cold child is a child who wants to go home.
For a Pineville family the trip works best folded into something else - the shopping that was happening anyway, a birthday that needed a venue, a Saturday that needed a plan.
