What the centre is for in Cornelius: a parent guide
This is the practical version - what it is, who it suits, what to bring, and what usually happens in the first ten minutes.
The last one is the one parents actually buy. Children remember the day they drove an excavator far longer than they remember most afternoons.
Parents from Cornelius tend to ask the same first question: how long will this hold their attention. Long enough to be worth the drive, and short enough to leave while they still want more.
What it actually is
Educational is doing a lot of quiet work in that list. Levers, timing and patience are a curriculum nobody has to announce.
The centre describes its aim in four parts: inspiration and creativity, safety and care, educational games and activities, and creating lasting memories.
Who it suits
Those are ordinary words until you watch a child work out a bucket for the first time, and then they are just a description of what happened.
Decide how long you are staying before you walk in. A visit with an end time attached to it finishes on a good note rather than a tired one.

Let the child lead the order of things. Adults optimise; children choose the thing that looks best, and they are right more often than they are wrong.

Planning your visit in Cornelius
If you are coming from Cornelius, treat it as a cross-town outing rather than a day trip. Go with a return time in mind and the day stays easy.
Warn a nervous child about the noise before you walk in. Knowing what to expect is most of the difference between anxious and curious.
Count on the drive home being the conversation. Children tell you what they actually thought about twenty minutes after leaving.
Weekends bring more of Cornelius out at once. If the schedule allows a weekday, take it; the same visit is quieter and the machines wait for nobody in particular.
